About Me
I'm Ashita Jewargi, a UI/UX designer with a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science with a Computational Emphasis from the University of California, Davis. My journey into UX design began with a fascination for understanding how people think and interact with their environment. Growing up in an Indian immigrant family, I was constantly navigating different cultures and communication styles, which sparked my interest in how design can bridge gaps and create inclusive experiences.
During my undergraduate years, I met a very successful UX designer at a career fair held at my school. She shared her experiences and insights about the field, which inspired me to explore UX design further. That very day, I went home and delved into the world of UX design, eventually deciding to pursue a certification offered by Google. This course taught me the fundamentals of UX design and solidified my passion for the field. However, the itch to learn more didn't go away, so I decided to gain practical experience by working at startups.
In my career so far, I have worked at several startups, which has given me a diverse range of experiences. Each role has taught me something new about the design process and the importance of adaptability and collaboration. I've enjoyed working in dynamic environments where I can experiment with different design approaches and continuously improve my skills.
